What do I get with Cobalt's video service?

Our video feature consists of two distinct video services, Video Test Drive and Inventory Pics-to-Video. The Video Test Drive provides a professionally created video review of newer vehicles, highlighting each vehicles features and benefits. The Inventory Pics-to-Video creates a video based on the dealer uploaded photos for a vehicle and applies a voice-over highlighting the features and specifications. These video services will be integrated into both the vehicle search results page and the vehicle details page. Together they provide extensive video coverage of your inventory and enhance your customers experience while driving more leads from your website.

I only have the Inventory Pics-to-Video on my website, why?

Due to some OEM restrictions, the professionally created Video Test Drive service may not be available to all dealers. For example, an OEM may require that the vehicle trim level displayed in the video be consistent with the trim of the vehicle the consumer is looking at on the webpage - with Inventory Pics-to-Video you always have a perfect match!

Some vehicles have more videos then others, why?

Any vehicle with dealer uploaded photos will include an Inventory Pics-to-Video for consumers to watch. In addition, the Video Test Drive service may include a 2.5 minute professional video review as well as a 1 minute professional highlight video, providing the consumer with up to 3 different videos for a single vehicle.

How is video integrated into my inventory search results?

Consumers who search your inventory for a new, used or certified pre-owned vehicle will be presented with a VIDEO button just below each vehicle photo. Clicking the VIDEO button will launch the video player over the search results, allowing the consumer to view the available videos for that vehicle. The consumer can easily view videos from other vehicles within the inventory search results, allowing them to quickly shop your inventory – this is very beneficial with used and certified pre-owned!

How is video integrated into my vehicle details page?

Once a consumer has selected a vehicle from your inventory, they are taken to the vehicle details page to view photos, vehicle features, specifications, pricing and more. This is an important step in the purchasing process. From this page the consumer can easily view the available videos. As a dealer, you can easily control if the video automatically starts playing or if the consumer needs to click the play button to start the video. Consumers will also have the option to enlarge the video to make viewing easier.

What if I do not want video on my website?

Website Manager has been updated to provide extensive control over the new video feature. Within Website Manager you have the option to disable each of the video services (Video Test Drive and Inventory Pics-to-Video) by vehicle type (New, Pre-Owned, or Certified). In addition, the Video Test Drive can be disabled by model. The controls for video are located in the Media section of the Inventory settings in Website Manager.
