Wellness
Cobalt is proud to be a Wellness-focused employer who believes that a healthy workforce is a satisfied and productive one. In October 2008, Cobalt was honored with a wellness program award that validated our ongoing commitment to supporting a healthy workforce. All of our benefits plans are designed to help employees achieve a healthy lifestyle. We partner with Healthyroads Wellness to bring employees the tools to monitor their fitness progress. Additionally we offer a free onsite fitness facility including basketball court, weights, elliptical, stair masters and treadmills in Seattle office and even healthy food is served in the vending machines! Employees and any dependents (including domestic partners) are eligible for medical insurance on the first day of the month following the employee's date of hire. Employees are offered a variety of other benefits as well, including car discount programs, 401K matching and a free Seattle-area bus pass.

Social Events
Cobalt strives to promote social and cultural gatherings in and out of the workplace. Cobalt feels these are the best ways to promote a healthy work environment where teamwork thrives. Opportunities are plentiful and will suit any individual: Come try your hand (or foot!) on the soccer team; play an integral part on our eco-responsible Green team; or just kick back and get to know your co-workers at the weekly "Cheer-Thirty". We work hard, but make time for fellowship fun as well.
Corporate Social Responsibility/Philanthropy
Corporate Social Responsibility and philanthropy are fundamental to Cobalt's culture. Cobaltians volunteer and donate to a number of worthy causes each year including; Northwest Harvest, Habitat for Humanity, Treehouse, Childhaven, The Heart Ball, Seattle Children's Theater and many more... Cobalt practices the notion that kindness begets kindnesses and that change does, in fact, start with each Cobalt employee. In so doing, individually and as groups, Cobalt continually pushes the ball forward in an effort to enhance the company's reputation as a place that is trying to do things right.
Cultivating Leaders
Cobalt is committed to hiring and nurturing leaders that have the skill set needed to take the company - and their career -to the next level. To help achieve this, Cobalt created the Cobalt Culture Model which details four overarching key values; creativity, achievement, stewardship and accountability. It also defines the traits that Cobalt will be looking for in new team members and in developing leaders. The model was a labor of love that set out to incorporate the key values that have been a part of Cobalt's culture since it was founded in 1995, as well as the characteristics and traits needed to support Cobalt in its continued growth. The Model is a tool for hiring managers as they work to bring new talent to Cobalt, and also for Cobalt employees to help them understand what is expected of them to succeed and move ahead in their careers.
