John Holt, Chairman and CEO
John Holt co-founded The Cobalt Group in 1995, based on his belief that the Internet would bring significant change to the way people advertised and bought and sold goods and services. Under Holt’s guidance, Cobalt has become a major partner to the North American automotive industry, providing marketing services to more than half the auto dealers in North America and nearly thirty automobile manufacturers. Holt has helped Cobalt raise more than $100 million from some of the world’s leading private equity firms, including Warburg Pincus, ABS Capital Partners, and Oak Investment Capital. He holds a master's degree from the Yale School of Organization and Management and a bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College.
Scott Mathews, EVP and Chief Operating Officer
Scott Mathews joined The Cobalt Group as EVP and COO in May 2002. He brought 20 years of management and technology experience to Cobalt, where he is responsible for the company's sales, operations, and infrastructure, including process improvement. Before joining Cobalt, he served for three years as president and COO of Emerge Interactive, Inc., a provider of supply chain management and technology solutions to the food production industry, and as vice president and GM of Key Technology, Inc., an international equipment manufacturer and distributor. Prior to that, Mathews spent 14 years at General Electric Medical Systems in a variety of positions. Mathews holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and a BS from Michigan State University.
Jim Beach, EVP and Chief Financial Officer
Jim Beach became executive vice president and CFO of The Cobalt Group in February 2005. He brought more than 20 years of financial and operations management experience to Cobalt, where he is responsible for the finance and accounting, information services, and human resources departments. Before joining Cobalt, Beach served as CFO at WRQ, Inc., one of the nation's largest privately held enterprise software companies; DataChannel, Inc., a developer of enterprise information portals; and Applied Microsystems Corp., a provider of embedded software tools. Beach started his career at Deloitte & Touche and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and political science from Linfield College.
Kevin Distelhorst, VP and General Manager, IntegraLink
Kevin Distelhorst is GM of IntegraLink, a division of The Cobalt Group since 2000. He co-founded IntegraLink in 1998 to fill the automotive industry’s need for a professional data collection firm. Before this, he held a number of positions in which his primary focus was using technology to solve business problems, including vice president of sales and marketing at Management Computer Services and GM of two divisions within Reynolds and Reynolds. Distelhorst holds a BS/BA in accounting from Ohio State University and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Chris Reed VP and Chief Marketing Officer
Chris joined the Cobalt Group in July 2007 as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Chris brings over 25 years experience in marketing and strategy in solutions businesses ranging from start-ups to IBM. At Lotus Development he led the re-positioning and marketing campaigns that enabled Notes to spurt from $20M to over $250M in revenue in 3 years, initiatives characterized by bestselling author Geoffrey Moore as "one of the most extraordinary marketing achievements in years." In the past 10 years, Reed has served as Vice President or Chief Marketing Officer of three businesses that provided software and services to improve the operational performance of retailers and SMB service providers. Chris holds a BA in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, and a MBA from Harvard University
Anna Zornosa, EVP and General Manager, Dealix
Anna Zornosa joined Cobalt in November of 2007 as EVP and General Manager of Dealix. At the helm of the most successful provider of sales leads to auto dealers, Zornosa is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Dealix with a focus on accelerating growth through product enhancements and line extensions. Prior to Cobalt, Zornosa, a seasoned CEO and General Manager, served as Vice President & General Manager, Yahoo! Personals, responsible for overall management and strategic direction of Yahoo! Personals; Chief Marketing Officer of Knight-Ridder Digital, a unit of newspaper giant Knight-Ridder, Inc; and CEO of Topica, Inc. She also held senior positions at Women.com and PointCast, Inc. She received her BA and MA from the University of Wisconsin.
